It is a succession amalgamation of RedPhone- an encrypted voice calling app and TextSecure- an encrypted texting platform. Just like Whatsapp.

Recently Paytm's founder Mr Vijay Shekhar Sharma has made a statement about WhatsApp and Facebook. He said that WhatsApp and Facebook are abusing their monopoly in India. He also ushered people to switch to Signal. Now you must be wondering what is this Signal? The signal is a brand new messaging app in the market. WhatsApp recently updated its Terms and Conditions which are crossing the limits into individual privacy according to Mr Sharma. WhatsApp with new terms and conditions will be applicable from 8th February 2021. People who don't agree to them won't be allowed to use WhatsApp.

WhatsApp has recently launched a payments system which putsPaytm's identity into danger. Meanwhile, Signal is getting a lot of downloads and fan following. If in future, significant proofs do state WhatsApptrespassing into the user’s life, Signal is an alternative we have to continue our lives.
