New Exoplanet which is twice the size of the Earth has been discovered. Scientists from NASA have discovered a new planet that is twice the size of earth and is 145 light years away. The planet is named ‘Wolf 503b’. This planet orbits around its own star like Earth orbits around the Sun. It orbits around its star every six days and hence is very close to its star, even closer than Mercury. By studying Wolf 503b, we can understand more about exoplanets and how planets are present with that radius gap. The environment of Wolf 503b is very bright but the star around which it revolves is less luminous than our sun but twice as old as it. It is an “old orange dwarf” the scientists say.
