Megastar Chiranjeevi is celebrating his birthday too. He is the one role model, future and current actors look up to. There is not one person in the Telugu states who isn’t a fan of him. On the occasion of his birthday, Konidela Production house has released the teaser of the much awaited ‘Sye Raa Narasimha reddy’. Let's see some facts about Chiranjeevi.

We have many names for our favourite star. Like Megastar, Supreme Hero, Boss, etc. but do you know that Chiranjeevi is not his real name? His real name is Konidela Siva Sankara Vara Prasad. The name that most do not know. His family were avid devotees of Lord Hanuman, and hence his mother suggested to change his name to ‘Chiranjeevi’. Little did she know that in the future, there would be hundreds of thousands of people chanting this name.

2. His movies dubbed

Chiranjeevi’s Kodama Simham was the first South Indian movie to get dubbed into English. It was named as ‘Hunters of the Indian Treasure’. Even his other movies like Pasivadi Pranam and Swayamkrushi got dubbed into Russian languages. Swayamkrushi also got screened at the Moscow International Film Festival.

Of course, Chiranjeevi is the star of Tollywood but he has also worked in many other languages like Tamil, Kannada and Hindi movies.

4. Records


Chiranjeevi and Nagma’s Gharana Mogudu is the first movie to cross ten crores collections. This movie directed by K. Raghavendra Rao has also won Filmfare’s best film – Telugu. The movie got such a huge response that it is remade in Hindi as Laadla starring Anil Kapoor and Sridevi. 

5. Politics


Chiranjeevi entered into politics in the year 2008. He set up the party called ‘Praja Rajyam Party’. He became a member of the state assembly from Tirupathi.
